While the version of the logo that ABDT has uploaded is official, I think that it's inclusion in the infobox of the article yields an inferior result to the old logo. Most university logos are available both with the name and without, but on Wikipedia articles it is far more common (and attractive, in my personal opinion) to have merely the logo, with the name of the university appearing above the logo in the infobox.

This particular version of the logo is particularly problematic, since the words "University of Illinois at Chicago" are writ so large that they actually exceed the size of the logo itself, and moreover, they serve to push the actual information (the infoboxes raison d'être) further down from the reader's view.

I'm hopeful that my reasoning will be acceptable to others (most importantly, to User:AlphaBetaDeltaTheta), but if not, we can discuss it further with other participants. HuskyHuskie (talk) 22:03, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
