Map data is not accurate[edit]

The map stats are not accurate. See w:Talk:Lists of countries by gun ownership#Chart is inaccurate --Timeshifter 01:21, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On the talk page the data also has the United States at the top and Switzerland very, so it's still similar and the talk page is disputed (no final decision has been made). This map correlates to the data on the article. Please inform me if the data on the article changes. Bsrboy 16:17, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am not really keeping up with, or editing, the article or the map. I am just pointing out that they both are inaccurate. The stats seem to be based on dividing the total amount of guns in a nation by the total population in that nation.
Since many people own more than one gun, and many others own no guns, then the article and the map are not very useful, and can be a misrepresentation of the facts. I am just letting people know so that they don't use the map or the article incorrectly. A better map and article would be based on surveys that determine the percentage of households with a gun in the household.
I suggest you convert this map to that. -Timeshifter 18:40, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
