Composition IMHO
Hi the reasons for opposing are complex hence to message here.
- the image it self is interesting yet the thumb nail isnt flattering. The birds and moorings create a very cluttered foreground, in the thumb nail version they look messy. To overcome this either photo when no birds or when there are more boats. Proportionally the the image is stable but the main subject (boat, wall, lake, mountains) only occupies the middle third it needs to occupy more of the bottom third of the image as well.
