For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Dresden, Ernst-Thälmann-Straße, Straßenbahn
Zentralbild Löwe 21.6.1958 Dresden - Spiegelbild des sozialistischen Aufbaus. Aus den unübersehbaren Trümmerbergen der Elbestadt sind seit 1950 rund 12.000 neu Wohnungen gebaut worden. Planmässig begann der Wiederaufbau Dresdens 1949 im Stadtteil Gruna mit modernen Gebäudekomplexen und vielen neuen Geschäften. Schneller und billiger zu bauen wurde 1956 mit dem industrialisierten Bauen durch die Anwendung der Großblockbauweise verwirklicht. Bisher konnten 1 250 Wohnungen in der Montagebauweise errichtet werden. UBz: Neu entstandene Wohnhäusr an der Ernst-Thälmannstrasse im Stadtzentrum von Dresden.

Čeština: Kontrast mezi starým a novým. K nově budovaným domům na třídě Ernst-Thälmann-Straße přijíždí původní, ještě předválečná tramvaj. Drážďany byly jako město velmi značně poničeny během druhé světové války a tak tu probíhaly rozsáhlé práce na výstavbě nových domů, nejdříve klasické koncepce (zde na záběru), později se budovaly rozsáhlé panelové sídliště. Staré tramvaje byly rychle vyřazovány a nahrazovány československými tramvajemi Tatra T4 a později i novějšími modely. Záběr pořízen 21. června 1958 |
