English: Younger dryas cold period (also called «Big freeze») seen in NGRIP oxygen isotope curve, which correlates with temperature.
Français : la période froide du «nouveau dryas» est ici visible dans la courbe en U qui présente une «anomalie» des teneurs en isotope de l'oxygène, qu'on sait corrélée à la température extérieure de l'atmosphère (ici dans l'hémisphère nord). Une marge d'incertitude subsiste quand à la datation, le gaz des bulles d'air n'ayant pas exactement le même âge que celui de la glace qui l'emprisonne aujourdh'ui. |
