English: A model represents the ruines of Qasr Al-Hir Algharbi in the Syrian Desert, 80km south western Palmyra (At the time it was discovered). The Castle was built by the Umayyad Caliph Hisham bin Abdulmalik during the 2nd century A.H, around 8th century |
