Author |
Авторство Ивана Никитина впервые было установлено П. Н. Петровым (Петров. Кат. 1870, № 113). В ИАХ в XIX веке картина считалась работой И.-Г. Таннауера („Дангауера") (Сомов 1872, № 1). В 1930-х высказывалось предположение об авторстве Андрея Матвеева. Современные исследователи считают картину безусловной работой И. Никитина, что подтверждается и ее технологическим анализом (Римская-Корсакова 1977, с. 191-199). |

Поступила: 1923 из МАХ; ранее - ИАХ; до 1762 - Зимний дворец Передана в ИАХ в 1762 по распоряжению Екатерины II из старого деревянного Зимнего дворца на Невском проспекте близ Полицейского моста вместе с 28 другими картинами (Сомов 1872, № 1; Васильчиков А. А. О портретах Петра Великого. - М. - 1872. - С. 97, 98). По другой, по-видимому неверной, версии, поступила в ИАХ из купленного в казну дома канцлера графа М. И. Воронцова (Петров 1883, с. 218). Как работа неизвестного художника была включена в опись Головачевского: „Неизвестно Портрет, писанный с усопшего Государя Императора Петра Великого, поясной, без рам" (Головачевский 1773, № 124). Указанные в описи размеры - 2 фута 8 дюймов на 2 фута - в пересчете на сантиметры соответствуют размерам полотна ГРМ. |
