  • Deutsch: Als Felsblock getarnte 10,5-cm-Turmkanone auf dem Gotthardpass. Dieses Geschütz kann sich um 360 Grad drehen und hat eine durchschnittliche Schussdistanz von 15 bis 17 km. Auf dem Bild sind zwei solche Türme zu erkennen. Sie gehören zum Artilleriewerk San Carlo. Im Hintergrund ist die Lucendrostaumauer zu erkennen.
  • English: Stone-like bunker for a 10.5 cm canon in the Swiss alps (near Saint-Gothard). It could hit its target at a range of 15 up to 17 km.
  • Français : Près du col du Saint-Gothard, une casemate hébergeant un canon de 105 mm, capable de tirer de 15 à 17 kilomètres ; une casemate identique se trouve un peu plus haut sur l’image. Leur camouflage imitant la pierre les rendent difficiles à discerner de la montagne proche. En arrière-plan, on aperçoit le barrage de retenue de Lucendro et Sella.
