Born in Los Angeles, California, Mark began his music career as a bassist during the burgeoning Punk Rock scene in Hollywood in the late 70’s, starting with "Max Lazer and the Spacerats" he headlined the famed Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, nightclub scene and all parts of Southern California. The band always a crowd favorite with the wild antics of Max Lazer which mirrored front man Iggy Pop and his show. Additionally, Mark played with the hard rock band "Uncle" which was a regular fixture at the “Whiskey a Go Go” “Starwood” “Troubadour” and many other Southern California venues. Mark played and toured with “Uncle” until the band broke up and disbanded.

It was during the 80’s that a different type of music was developing, leaning more towards Electronica so the next band Mark joined was “Digital Response” which toured and recorded in the Southern California area through the mid-eighties Through the 90’s Mark continued to record and play with various artists and bands

Music always being a driving force in Mark’s life the next logical step seemed to be building and opening a recording studio so in 1997 Mark teamed up with his current partner, engineer and co-producer, Greg Vossberg. Continuing with that general musical theme he released "Momentos"in 2005 with its Spanish and world beat fusion grooves along with a dash of Gothic to darken up the musical moods In 2007 Mark released the Gothic/Industrial dance EP "SIA"with its driving beats and Gothic theme’s 2008 found the Halloween release of the double album "Sahara"with nineteen tracks that create many exotic musical moods dealing with the great desert of North Africa.
