Vorpostenboot

Deutsch: Ein Vorpostenboot ist ein kleines Schiff für den Patrouillendienst vor der eigenen Küste. Als Vorpostenboote dienten meist seetüchtige zivile Schiffe wie Fischdampfer, die nur im Krieg von der Marine eingezogen wurden.

English: Vorpostenboot is the German name for coastal patrol vessels used to control the own coast. They mostly were seaworthy civilian ships such as fishing vessels taken up by the Navy in war times only.
