English: The Château de Portes is a castle located in the commune of Portes in the Gard département of France. It overlooks the Regordane, an ancient avenue used by the pilgrims of Saint-Giles and the Croisés on their way towards the Holy Land for a distance of ten miles. Anduze, Randon and Polignac paid homage to the abbot of Saint-Pierre-de-Sauve for this castle between the 11th and the 14th centuries. The castle is listed as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture.
Español: Situado en la ciudad de Portes en el departamento del Gard This castillo vigilaba el antiguo camino, dijo de Regordane, por cual pasaban los peregrinos de iban a Saint-Gilles y los cruzados por la Tierra Santa, por diez leguas. Las casas de Anduze, de Randon y de Polignac, rendiran homenaje al abad de Saint-Pierre-de Sauve para este castillo del siglo 11 al siglo 14.
Français : Situé sur la commune de Portes dans le Gard, ce château surveillait l’ancien chemin (ou voie) dit de Regordane qu’empruntaient les pèlerins se rendant à Saint-Gilles et les Croisés vers la Terre sainte, sur dix lieues. Les Anduze, les Randon et les Polignac rendront hommage à l’abbé de Saint-Pierre-de-Sauve pour ce château du 11° au 14° siècle.
