Deutsch: Sir Frederick Grant Banting (* 14. November 1891 in Alliston, Ontario (Kanada); † 21. Februar 1941 in Neufundland) war Arzt und gilt zusammen mit Charles Best als Mitentdecker des Insulins (nach Nicolae Paulescu). Zusammen mit John Macleod erhielt er 1923 den Nobelpreis für Medizin.
English: Sir Frederick Grant Banting, KBE, MC, FRSC (November 14, 1891 – February 21, 1941) was a Canadian medical scientist, doctor and Nobel laureate noted as one of the main discoverers of insulin.
