English: Llancarfan is a rural village and community in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. The village, located west of Barry near Cowbridge, has a pub and a well-known parish church, the site of Saint Cadoc's 6th-century abbey, famed for its learning. Cainnech of Aghaboe, Caradoc of Llancarfan and many other Welsh holy men studied there. The spacious church, which in the later Middle Ages belonged to Gloucester Abbey, contains a stoup and interesting remains of a rood screen, now adapted as a reredos.

Français : Llancarfan est le nom d'un monastère gallois du haut moyen-âge, entre Cowbridge et Y Barri près de la côte du Glamorgan, fondé par saint Cadou, d'où sont originaires de nombreux saints bretons, parmi lesquels Saint Gildas, saint Malo, saint Brandan, etc.

Nederlands: Llancarfan, of LLancarvan, is een landelijk dorp ten westen van Barry bij Cowbridge in de Vale of Glamorgan, in Zuid-Wales. Het dorp heeft een pub en een bekende kerk, gebouwd op de plaats van de abdij uit de 6de eeuw van Sint Cadoc. Sint Kenny en vele andere Welshe heiligen werden er gewijd.
