This category features images of Para-athletes competing in seated throwing events where the seat, or frame, that the athlete sits on to throw is visible. There is a wide variety in the design of seated throwing frames and there has been considerable change from the early days of seated throwing events, when athletes competed in their day chairs, which were held down by an able-bodied assistant.
