摘要

[编辑]
描述
English: This 2D print was published in 1733, it is now part of the Clark Library Rare Collections, University of Michigan (Accession no. 46277).
  • The map highlights Golconda. All cities and towns have native Telugu (Indian) names. Many of modern era names such as Hyderabad are not in this or other early maps that were published by European merchants, visitors and cartographers through the late 18th-century. Instead of Hyderabad and other names adopted in 18th and 19th century, these maps show Bagnagar (Bhagyanagar), Colconda and more ancient regional names.
  • Original publisher: Homann Heirs; Language: Latin; Size: 46 cm x 56 cm
  • Original title: Peninsula Indiae citra Gangem hoc est orae celeberrimae Malabar et Coromandel : cum adjacente insula non minus celebratissima Ceylon
  • This is a 2D artwork published in the 18th-century, that is in public domain. The PD-Art-100-1923 guidelines of wikimedia commons apply. Any rights I have as a photographer, I herewith donate it to public domain through wikimedia commons.
