English: Bramble cay melomys Melomys rubicola. In 2016 declared extinct on Bramble cay, where it had been endemic, and likely also globally extinct, with habitat loss due to climate change being the root cause.
Deutsch: Bramble Cay Mosaikschwanzratte Melomys rubicola. Im Jahr 2016 für auf Bramble Cay ausgestorben erklärt, wo sie endemisch war. Damit wahrscheinlich auch weltweit ausgestorben, wesentlich durch Habitatverlust infolge der Globalen Erwärmung.
Polski: Szczurzynek koralowy (Melomys rubicola). W 2016 roku stwierdzono, że wyginął na Bramble Cay, wysepce na której występował endemicznie. Uważa się zatem, że gatunek wymarł całkowicie, wskutek zmian środowiska związanych z globalnym ociepleniem.
