English: Ancient temple of Deulingeshwar Mahadev located in Bigu Palika Ward No. 1 of Dolakha District. This temple is located on the left side of the high hill near Gongar in Dolakha district. There is a settlement of Tamang communities here. According to legend, after Mahadev married Sati Devi, Mahadev showed her the straw hut house on the hill of Bigu village to go to my house. Mahadev was intoxicated with cannabis. Sati Devi was very worried when she saw this dirty hut. She couldn't sleep after seeing spider webs all over the filth and huts everywhere. Satidevi did not know Mahadev. Because Mahadev was in the guise of a monk. When in the morning Mahadev was released from cannabis intoxication. Mahadev made a hole in the thatched hut by making a hole in the house. He showed Kailash Parbat or Gaurishankar Mountain (Gaurishankar means Mahadev, Shiva) from the same hole. That is my house. It is clearly mentioned in Swasthani Bratakatha. That is why special worship and fairs are held here on the day of Swasthani Punirma. Also, the view of Gaurishankar Himal from this hill is very beautiful. There is a belief that while worshiping and visiting these Mahadevs, the lost cattle will be found and a son, a son without a daughter, will be a daughter. Formerly this temple was a thatched hut. It was customary to change the thatched roof of the temple on the same day after cutting the straw and placing it on a large black stone near the temple. These idols of Mahadev flowed down from the temple itself. They did not come when they tried to bring the idol up by tying it with Babio's rope. The locals say that they all came clean and only after I came. The stone i.e. the idol of Mahadev was washed away in January 1988. According to the locals, the temple also had a copper plate. In which 600 BC was mentioned.

Currently, the ancient roofed temple is dilapidated and has been demolished to make way for the red brick roof. There are 3 gajuras above the temple. In the middle of which, hay is still kept in Gajur. The sanctum sanctorum of the temple has a very artistic style stone and many bells are hung on the stone. There are iron tridents offered by the devotees around the rock. A small bell is hung in front of the statue. In this temple, devotees have a tradition of offering iron tridents to fulfill their desires. There is a Shivalinga in the temple premises as well as in front of the temple. Iron tridents can be seen here and there. The iron trio used for worship here is amazing. Often the trio is a joint. But there is no joint in the trio here. There is a Bhairav place at some distance from this temple. The big tree of Uttis caste is considered as Bhairav place. It is customary to make a statue of Bhairav at the base of this tree on the day of Jatra and offer sacrifices after worshiping it. After worship and sacrifice, the idol of Bhairav is methodically demolished and Deulingeshwar Mahadev is worshiped.

According to the locals, they are planning to demolish the existing four-sided temple and build an attractive pagoda style temple. The site of this temple, full of natural beauty, is in the middle of greenery. From here, you can see various mountains, including the nearby Gaurishankar Himal. The priests of this temple have a tradition of being priests of the Tamang community. Due to which, they regularly worship this Deulingeshwar Mahadev.
