The English notched lapel is by far the most commonly seen nowadays. It is rare to see a Spanish notched lapel outside Spain. The Spanish cut tends to be wider than the English, and has the particularity of being more rounded, whereas the English has 90 degree corners.^[1][2] The Spanish lapel has also been described as a downward sloping notch, with "a rounded off tip and an 80 degree cran, one of the standout characteristics of the Spanish jacket".^[3]
