Description
English: The Preston North End, the first Football League champions in 1888-89. Nicknamed Invincibles, they won the league cup and cup double at the first attempt.
Text above says: "Winners of the English Association Challenge Cup, and Champions of the Football League, 1888-9".
Players cited: Drummond, Howarth, Russell, Holmes, McSudall, Graham, Mills Roberts; Gordon, Ross, Goodall, Dewhurst, Thompson.
