English: According to annex no. 1.2, the coat of arms of Ciugud commune consists of a triangular shield with rounded edges, halved by a wavy silver belt. In the upper part, on the left, in the red field, there is a cracked silver ceramic vessel, jar type, with the handle on the right. At the top of the shield, to the right, in a blue field, is a sheaf of six ears of golden wheat. The shield is stamped by a silver mural crown with a crenellated tower. The meanings of the summed elements: The undulating belt represents the Mureş River, which runs through the town. The ceramic vessel symbolizes the largest archaeological site from the first Iron Age, c. XI-VII before Christ, discovered following excavations from 1978-1987, spread over an area of ​​over 20 ha. The bunch of ears evokes one of the basic occupations of the inhabitants, agriculture, and their number indicates the number of component villages of the locality. The mural crown with a crenellated tower signifies the fact that the locality has the status of a commune.
