English: Lifting bridge at Talybont-on-Usk across the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal (Bridge 144). At this particular point, the canal level was about 5 metres above ground level making it impractical to build a normal bridge over the canal. The solution was this lifting bridge which, when closed, is a few centimetres above water level. Cymraeg: Pont godi yn Tal-y-bont ar Wysg ar draws Camlas Sir Fynwy a Brycheiniog (Pont 144). Ar y pwynt penodol hwn, roedd lefel y gamlas tua 5 metr uwchlaw lefel y ddaear gan ei gwneud yn anymarferol adeiladu pont arferol dros y gamlas.
