Kaliningrad?

[编辑]

"Kaliningrad" instead of Koenigsberg is a clear anachronism. I'm not sure whether other are present. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 2A01:C22:A814:E900:E87F:3542:1272:B6BE (talk) 11:19, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[回复]

Yes, there are a lot of issues like that. Istanbul was Constantinople until 1453, Dubrovnik was Ragusa, Oradea was Nagyvárad, Budapest did not even exist until 1873 (it was 2 separate towns: Buda and Pest). I also think Gdansk is wrong (should be Danczik?) and Wroclaw should be either Wrotizlava or Breslau.
Due to this, I think this map is misinforming people about the geography of the Black Death in Europe and is not fit to be in a wikipedia that's supposed to correctly inform people. モラー (留言) 15:00, 26 April 2020 (UTC)[回复]

Frankfurt

[编辑]

Looks like the dot for Frankfurt is wrong; that is in Western Germany; just SE of Cologne (which is correct).

It's confusing because the small town of 'Frankfurt an der Oder' is labelled as 'Frankfurt'. 'Frankfurt' alone usually refers to the much larger city of 'Frankfurt am Main'.
Updated this and some of the historical city names mentioned above. Rauisuchian (留言) 04:09, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[回复]
