Above information is full of lies. W.L.Sachtleben didn't write such a book. It seems that, to fill this gap, Armenian R.G.Hovannisian wrote lies under his name. Shame on you. Because my ancestors were killed by Armenians on this very Erzurum ground. (Plus, W.L.Sachtleben was not in Erzurum in 1895, he was there in 1891 as a travelling student. Most important of all he had no camera!!! Funny isn't it... His book "Accross Asia on a Bicycle" was published in 1894. So I could't decide which part of these lies to correct. Now I scanned all 257 pages of book and there is no such photo in the book. Mr.Sachtleben using terms "sisters" and "brothers" for Turkish and Armenian people, not a single word of massacre he uses... (Correction note by İbrahim Çakır) One more funny thing : If this photograph was taken by W.L.Sachtleben, why did he wrote somebody else's name on the left bottom corner of the photo. Please have a look!!! — 以上未簽名的留言是由該使用者加入的: 78.162.14.142 (留言 • 貢獻)

Yawn, the book was published in 1897, yawn, the photo is in Sachtleben's article in "The Graphic" newspaper of December 7th 1895, yawn, it's the name of The Graphic's photogravurist.
