Scale for map

Hi, great that you have this work done so quickly! Looking at a map I usually first look for a scale to get an idea about sizes. What do you think about adding one? Christian99 (talk)

A top-left inset of the whole city to show location might be good too. I think I'll try to add the scale now. Also, it might be useful to show the finish line and the last bit of the route. I'll see about that.Anna Frodesiak (talk) 02:29, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

Okay, I think somebody else could do this more easily. I'm having trouble. To add a Boston City inset top left, we need to use a bigger map, (or at least one where the site markers are more toward the lower right). This means adding new red site markers to it. Odder did that, and I don't know how.

The scale is pretty easy to add, but should be done after the new map is made. Same is true for adding the end of the route and finish line. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 03:17, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

Where was the marathon?

This map would do well to show the marathon route was, the finish line, and the area after the finish line that was closed to traffic. -- ke4roh (talk) 02:22, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

I just looked at that. The bombings map vs route map are on a hugely different scale. Everyone knows the even was right near the finish line, so a map route with the event site would show a tiny red dot at the tip. [1] Anna Frodesiak (talk) 02:29, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
