Grey and semi-transparant[编辑]

The use of grey-colloured villages and semitransparant in this map is intended for

  1. Villages/places with conflicting reports/sources/maps
  2. Villages/places of wich the status is uncertain, or without any good info.
  3. Villages/places that might be partly under control of both sides
  4. Villages/places were there is close combat/fighting for control. (no far schelling)

Grey, semi-tranparent is the basic/original status of villages/places. You need evidence/multiple reliable sources without doubt that an entire village/place is under full uncontested control to change uncertain to certain. When there are conflicting sources it should be remain grey/semitransparant.

Note that n this conflict when the outskirds of villige/place are only merely attacked/shelled you will see already reports/sources coming up that claim it is completly conquered. From both sides.

@Hanibal911: Thank you for the sources. I'll read them to get a better perspective of the situation on the ground, near Mariupol.Mondolkiri1 (talk) 18:55, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[回复]

The official map of the Ukrainian government: http://mediarnbo.org/category/photo-video/?future= from 19 September, has some differences, but doesn't contradict a lot the big picture of the map from http://militarymaps.info/, and it has very little detail. Curiously, it's not very favourable to the Ukrainian military situation, since it displays a foggy zone that goes almost all the way to the border of the Kharkiv Oblast. But the most important issue about this source, in my opinion, is that it's very little detailed.Mondolkiri1 (talk) 18:58, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[回复]
