Why did this image need to be flipped (see history), and furthermore, why did the file size dramatically increase? The original is more economical and I see no reason why it shouldn't be used. I appreciate that images usually appear on the right hand margin of articles, and it looks more natural for the subject to be facing the centre of the page... but really?
