This image is correct. The initial reaction requires the use of hydrogen to start the enzymatic reaction, however the reaction ultimately consumes oxygen, as the hydrogen from NADH are lost before double bond formation occurs. 2 Cytocrome B5 Reductase Fe2 is oxidized by desaturase which is in support of double bond formation. Also this reaction takes place in prokaryotic cells which do not posses mitochondria and thus is not identical to the reaction taking place in eukaryotic cells.
