Not real Ainu ?

These people look very Japanese, compared to old photos of Ainu. Their costumes may be Ainu, but they are either japanese actors or people from mixed Japanese-Ainu ancestry.--90.35.74.66 22:23, 25 March 2011 (UTC)

Not all Ainu looked like displaced Europeans. Only some Ainu clans did, many did look exactly like these people. Even Kura et al. concluded that most historical Ainu were rather closest to Eastern Siberians, such as Chukchi people. There are as many pictures showing ancient Ainu like these, as well as Ainu looking different. There was a range of phenotypes. Looking at the documentation were ethnic Ainu speak, they all look Northeast Asian, not necessarily Japanese.213.162.73.8 23:08, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
