I know this diagram since it was introduced in 2011, and even in its current version, it doesn't make sense to me and has mistakes. For example, "autoscan" does not "create" a file "configure.ac". It creates a file "configure.scan".

Then it would make sense to incorporate additional tools and wrappers such as "autoreconf".

In my opinion, the "autotools"/GNU Build System concept is too convoluted and chaotically intertwined to abstract it down to such a graph representation. Abdull (留言) 13:50, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[回复]
