File talk:B-17G Destroyed by Flak.jpg

The file description says this was over Crantenburg in Germany. There is no such place in Germany nor anywhere else. Some user placed the file in the article de:Kranenburg (Dorf). I don't know why he did it, but I doubt that the identification is correct. I am from the Kranenburg region and I am not aware of any bombers going down here in WW II nor am I aware of any Flak posts that existed here that had the range to shoot down a bomber. There's another Kranenburg further in the south. I think it's a more likely candidate but I have absolutely no evidence. Any ideas? --Slomox (talk) 13:26, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

The description says that it is a B-17G, hit by flak. The title says it is a B-17F, hit by an Me 262. Which is correct? 86.149.219.138 05:25, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
