This map is incorrect
Although Armenia was a battleground between Arabs and Byzantine forces for the next two centuries, in the 9th century it still flourished. Frequent earthquakes and continued Arab oppression led to the decline of the city from the beginning of the 10th century. During a major earthquake in 893, the city was destroyed, along with most of its 70,000 inhabitants.[4]
Following a devastating Daylamite raid in 1021, which sacked the city, Dvin was captured by the Shaddadids of Ganja, and ruled by Abu'l-Aswar Shavur ibn Fadl,[5] who successfully defended it against three Byzantine attacks in the latter half of the 1040s.[6][7] Dvin (ancient city)--samral talk 07:09, 20 October 2017 (UTC)

This map is talking about 1000 years. Is it correct? I say that, according to reputable, academic sources, for example, Dvin was not under the control of the Bagratuni dynasty. It's not just Dvin. Dvin is just one example. According to this map, in the year 1000 the current Nakhchivan, Karabakh and now Armenia are all under the control of the Bagratuni dynasty. When we look at historical and academic resources, we see that in 1000, Dvin, Nakhchivan, Karabakh and now Armenia all have not been under the control of the Bagratuni dynasty.

oversimplification

That's the word best describing this map but that is not the only flaw. this map by Ian Mladjov is does well convey the chronology of political geography of the region. And it is just about the period this map is about whithout any vague circas. Bournutian on the other hand with goes against what he writes. According to him on the page 87 as Ashot III died and Armenians lost Dvin. Never around 1000 they reclaimed it. Also this map assumes that Georgian bagradits were Armenian --Ercwlff (留言) 14:56, 25 March 2020 (UTC)
