Mass replace?

@Gereon K.: thanks with your help with this rename! I have been looking for information about how to do a mass replacement of several outdated and raster image files with ambiguous names, with new and current/updated SVG files properly named, across all wiki projects. For example replacing both File:Frenteamplio.jpg and File:Frenteamplio.gif with File:Bandera Partido Frente Amplio Costa Rica.svg. I think that CommonsDelinker would work for that, but can't find a procedure for this, but I have also read that it is not always welcome to do such changes... I have left the vva/superseded templates as required, and trying to coordinate the effort on es:Wikiproyecto:Costa Rica/Política (for political parties, but would also need for local governments insignia). Any suggestions for this kind of changes? I also did a lot of manual replacements, but is very tiring and there are tens of articles times tens of files that require the change, so I have just started to generate raster images from the SVG and upload a new version instead, seems the easier way, but decided to ask you too as I would prefer to have the proper SVG across all projects. @Roqz: You are most welcome. It was simply a matter of renaming a file. Renamings are automated processes and the following interwiki replacements do not have to be done manually. Replacing images crosswiki though is another matter, as you know. One easy solution would be to upload the svg over the jpg file. But I don't know if there is a reason to keep the jpgs. @Roqz: And here is how to replace: Commons:GlobalReplace#Replacement. Be aware though that different Wikipedia language versions have different policies regarding substituting jpg and gif with svg.
