Is anyone can confirm that the black person in the picture is male? It's true that description in the source (LoC) tells that the person is male, but if we look again at this person's posture, I think the person is female. As I compare this poster with Pool in a Harem (please see HaremPool.jpg), I am quite sure that this person is female. --Kandar (talk) 13:03, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[回复]

The stereotype is of a black eunuch (notice File:HaremPool.jpg is categorized in Category:Eunuchs?). If it was a black woman in the harem, not sure why she wouldn't also be depicted somewhat unclad (e.g. File:Léon Benouville Odaliske.jpg , File:Behmer - Reclining Odalisque.jpg etc.).
