Release notes[编辑]

  • Bathymetry: The best free bathymetric data I was able to find is the SRTM30 Plus one with a resolution of 30 arc sec which is ten times less precise than the SRTM3 data used for the topography, so I preferred not to include it in the map.
  • Reefs: The archipelago is almost completely surrounded by reefs but their limits aren't easy to determine through the Landsat ETM+ imagery, so I decided not to show them.
  • Urban areas: At this scale I should have represented these areas, but as Main Island is almost completely urbanized, representing them would have hidden most of the topographic layer which wouldn't have been appropriate for the subject of this map.
