Outlines class

[編集]

I was working with this image, and I couldn't figure out what the purpose of the "outlines" class was, so I uploaded an updated version of this file where I removed this class (along with its corresponding style information).

I took all the countries inside that class (ca, gl, is, pt, ma, es, tn, dz, be, it) and moved them with the rest of the countries. Also, for some reason, the three paths for Russia (ru, ru-main, ru-kgd) each had their own separate style information, so I removed that as well.

I hope that these changes make the file less cluttered, and easier to work with.

About Kosovo

[編集]

Since Kosovo is recognized as an independent nation by the majority of the countries of Europe, it should at least be marked by a dotted line.

Crimea

[編集]

So much of the detail around Crimea has been removed that it looks as if it's virtually disembodied from the mainland. Is anyone able to tweak this in order that it look correct proportionally to the size of the image? It wouldn't bother me under normal circumstances, but we've been getting flack on the Russia and Ukraine articles about the maps. --Iryna Harpy (トーク) 00:19, 27 May 2014 (UTC)[返信]

Used projection

[編集]

Hello, I'd like to ask which kind of projection has been used in the creation of this map. thank you, --Mikima (トーク) 10:20, 1 October 2016 (UTC)best[返信]

Better projection?

[編集]

Adding to what (I assume) Mikima was getting at above, this map would be improved by a different projection that makes it less "flat" and doesn't make the northern countries look huge. I'm not sure if that already exists somewhere else; if it does, it should be made the default. Sdkb (トーク) 01:16, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[返信]

Artsakh

[編集]

Please remove Artsakh. It no longer exists. 2001:250:4000:40DF:1CE4:C87B:ED98:68A3 07:03, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[返信]
