This size comparison would only be exemplative of an average human (1.7m) relative to an immature Blue Whale of about 15 meters long. The real ration should show the human (diver) as more than half the size depicted in the image.--Greghoets (talk) 11:34, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[回复]

I got 70 pixels for human's size. If it's 1,75 meters, then 800 pixels for blue whale would be 20 meters. The english article does not state average or normal length for the blue whale, but finnish article says the average length is 25,5 meters. So the size on picture is about 80 percent of that. 85.217.50.155 16:25, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[回复]
I wanted to resolve this by changing the image. But when I measured the length of the human and the whale — both with unbend/uncurved bodies — I saw that the human has a scale of 213 and the whale 2900. If you think of a human that is 1.75 meters tall you get a whale that is 1.75 × 2900 / 213 = 23.83 meters long. As the human diver could also be 1.80 meters in size the whale could be 24.5 meters long. I think that this sketch is good enough for a good imagination of the whales size. I’ll remove the dispute hint and leave the image as it was because it is a sketch and there is no scale given. Erik Streb (talk) 00:19, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[回复]
