Please restore the 2008 version of the Bolesław Prus photograph

I understand your intention to provide a better-quality version of the photo of Bolesław Prus that was originally placed in Wikimedia Commons on 11 February 2008.

Do you think you could reintroduce that original 2008 version to Wikimedia Commons, while also keeping your 10 January 2019 version available there?

Your new version has a bluish discoloration, and Prus' image is too small to see well.

P.S. Also, the current name of the current version of the Commons photo is misleading. Wilhelm Feldman's book from which the photo was taken, was published in 1905; but the photo itself was taken in 1887.

Could you please trim the empty spaces at the top, bottom, and left of the photo? That would further increase the effective size of the image, which is still a little small.

Thank you for the trims. That's a big improvement !

I think the photo's effect could be optimized by trimming as much as possible of the remaining empty spaces. Prus would then not appear unnaturally small when set beside photos of other persons.
