It's the print number, not date. See: Library of Congress Ausir 21:02, 28 Apr 2005 (UTC)

This photograph is also available for download as a 27 MB tiff format file, making it possible to produce a much higher quality image. It would be nice if this was done for this featured image. Balcer 00:29, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
