Dieses Wappen ist nicht korrekt dargestellt. Das Wappen der Provinz Schleswig-Holsteins war das einzige Wappen, bei dem die Schildhalter nicht auf einem Podest sondern auf einem Rasenstück stehen. (siehe: http://www.hot.ee/wappenrolle/666ProvSchleswigHolstein.jpg)

Hugo Gerard Ströhls original drawing shows the banner of the right supporter with the Schleswig lions facing the normal heraldic way.

I'm aware of the story of Bismarck changing the shield, making the Schleswig lions face the Holstein nettle leaf, but is there a source that it also applies for the banner carried by the supporter? Valentinian T / C 17:44, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
