Too low quality

[编辑]

August 9, 2022 | to @Avburg - The SVG that have been published from the Khogov.ru site is way too low quality to be a viable replacement for the former png version. Due to how Wikipedia's terms over quality in imaging, the former PNG is still preferred until a better quality SVG Design is forwarded.

You can also see this from: vector version available box, Wherein it says;

File:Coat of Arms of the Kherson Military-Civil Administration.svg is a vector version of this file. It should be used in place of this PNG file when not inferior.

Until there is a better quality design, there should be a superseded box linking the PNG file with the SVG File. As so that this commons page would still be relevant and be updated. See: SVG Conversion Tags (superseded segment).

As a side note:

If you, (or any other wikipedians reading this), still want this image to be used, do make a rendition of it. SVGs can be easily created with many desktop publishing programs such as the free Scribus program. SVGs can also be altered simply with a text editor, because it is code-based, not numerical. This makes updating and translating illustrations much easier. Users having problems with uploaded SVG images may ask for assistance at SVG Help and users starting to get to know how to use SVG can see the graphic Tutorials provided by other wikipedians. For a list of SVG editing software, see List of vector graphics editors. Kaliper1 (留言) 13:12, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[回复]
