Time in use[编辑]

Burkina Faso introduced this coat of arms after the Sankarist revolution in 1984. It remained in service until 1997 (2nd revision of the Burkina Faso constitution of the IV republic). --Sputniktilt 21:58, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[回复]

Note on sources[编辑]

Image:Logo-BF.gif

Sources were the existing pixel-coat of arms as shown on the left, an official letterhead from Burkina Faso authorities (1990) and a fiscal stamp from 1993 in my passport (the new constitution was adopted in 1991, but the "revolutionary" coat of arms remained in use until 1997). Note: The en:AK-47 in the original version was drawn correctly, not as shown on the image mentionned above. On that reproduction, the proportions of the AK-47 are clearly false, also in the reproduction of the Meyers Lexikon. In the present artwork, the size and proportions of the AK-47 and the mattock are conform to the official documents and to the arm and the tool itself. A note about the colors: In official documents, the banner on the bottom was often white, while the AK-47 has been also drawn in black or dark grey. For the use on the web, I decided to choose colors which gives good results also if shown downsized. --Sputniktilt 21:58, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[回复]

Text in book[编辑]

That's cute. I'm guessing that it's OK because the text in the book in the original coat of arms was deliberately illegible? Lollipop (留言) 22:53, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[回复]
