Should be Arabic script jumhuriyat al-yaman al-dimuqratiya al-sha`biya جمهورية اليمن الدمقراطية الشعبية , I think... -- AnonMoos 22:32, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[返信]

  • According to English Wikipedia, 2 versions of coat of arms were used during the existence of South Yemen. Prior to 1970 the official name of the country was "People's Republic of South Yemen". The Yemeni National Liberation Front changed the name of the country to "People's Democratic Republic of Yemen" on December 1, 1970.
AnonMoos is right, but jumhuriyat al-yaman al-dimuqratiya al-sha`biya means People's Democratic Republic of Yemen in English. So this coat of arms should bear the arabic translation of People's Republic of South Yemen. 194.152.157.126 12:21, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[返信]
Having difficulty finding the original Arabic of "People's Republic of South Yemen" -- this was not included in the article al-Yaman in the multivolume "Encyclopaedia of Islam". AnonMoos 10:18, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[返信]
