The description "coat of arms of the Vatican" is not specific enough. The position of the keys (silver in dexter position) indicates that it is the coat of arms of Vatican City, not the coat of arms of "the Vatican" in the sense of Holy See. 83.71.85.132 15:38, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[回复]

National emblem

[编辑]

The Fundamental Law of the Vatican City says:

Lo stemma è costituito dalla tiara con le chiavi, secondo il modello che forma l’allegato B della presente Legge.

— pages 11, 40

which can be translated as «The emblem is made by the tiara with keys, according to the model at Annex B of this Law» (I could not find an english version).

The Annex B (page 35) shows an english escuctheon, therefore we must conclude that, since the emblem is not blazoned but only graphically codified, the national emblem has to be on an english escutcheon.

The constant use of only that version is a confirm of it. --Gambo7 (talk) 10:27, 17 March 2014 (UTC)[回复]

Moreover, the knotted cord is in contrast with the official national emblem (which has two hanging separate cords), whilst reminds of the golden knotted cord of the emblem of the Holy See --Gambo7 (talk) 19:21, 19 March 2014 (UTC)[回复]
