Soviet Union a colonial empire?

Is there a consensus saying that the Soviet Union was a "colonial empire"? I couldn't help but notice that the Soviet Union was added later on to the original file, and the Colonialism article doesn't reference any sort of Soviet colonial empire. LittleCuteSuit (トーク) 03:59, 16 August 2019 (UTC)

The original change uses WP:OTHERCONTENT as justification, which is frowned upon. Another problem is the complete lack of sources. KetchupSalt (トーク) 20:06, 18 July 2023 (UTC)

Mongolia

Mongolian People's Republic was not a Soviet colony, i.e. a territory of the Soviet Union. It was a satellite state that was formally independent. -- Tobby72 (トーク) 06:51, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
