I'm confused as to why Australia, Canada and New Zealand are highlighted in green, indicating they have had both female heads of state and female heads of government. That is the case, but the list excludes female leaders, and these countries are Commonwealth realms. Like the United Kingdom, they should be highlighted yellow. These realms have had female Governors General, but these are only "representatives" of the head of state, the monarch. I hope the creator of this map will adjust it, or include female monarchs. -- Hazhk (留言) 18:25, 11 August 2014 (UTC)

I agree. My first question is why are female monarchs are excluded in the first place? The distinction between a monarch and a president is mostly one of terminology, once you get away from the small club of western nations that tend to follow either the British model of constitutional monarchy or the American model of directly elected presidency. If female monarchs are excluded, then Australia, Canada and New Zealand, which have always been monarchies, cannot possibly have had a "female head of state excluding monarchs."Eggybacon (留言) 07:19, 23 August 2016 (UTC)

OK. I see. It shows not only current heads of state and government but also historical ones.
