This image is misleading. These are the stages of analog-to-digital conversion and then digital-to-analog conversion:

  1. Analog signal
  2. Sampling
  3. Quantizing
  4. Digital signal (string of numbers)
  5. Zero-order hold
  6. Filtering
  7. Analog signal

What you want to show is 1 and 4, but you've shown 1 in gray and 5 in red. A "stem" plot or scattergram would be better for the digital signal. — Omegatron 20:07, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[回复]
