The map does not show whats said in the description, it isn't even accurate for the current war. What is this? It should be reverted. 2001:4644:13BE:0:1915:94AB:E4A1:A816 13:53, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[回复]

Agree. The information stated in the image text is not true. Jakro64 (留言) 07:03, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[回复]

Update map

[编辑]

You people will have to do it sooner or later. I suggest we update occupied territory by month.

The reason you reverted it the first time was because the battles haven't settled down. Well, everything has stayed relatively similar for the past few weeks and months. We should update it by month so it isn't recentism, but still keep semi up to date. DinoSoupCanada (留言) 13:49, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[回复]

Indecisive. Due to how small in scale the map is it would be tedious to edit. In addition the war is still ongoing, with no signs of a ceasefire agreement nor a treaty defining the borders as of 17th of august, It is still technically de-jure Ukrainian territory until an official acknowledgement by Russia. What separates Donbass and Crimea (being in this map) is that there was a memorandum of understanding/treaty concerning the occupied territories. The Minsk Agreements that is. Denoting that both parties acknowledged that the territorial status of The DPR, The LPR, and Crimea is or was self-governed. (that is their own legislative body, justice system, governor, etc.). In other words Separatists States. While Zaporizhzhia and Kherson has yet made a sovereign government nor a binding treaty/agreement concerning its status. Instead ruled by a "military-civilian government" (or another fancy word for Russian military occupation)
.
It's basically the same as saying; the Allies Occupied Germany In 1945. But its not apart of their nation. Bavaria isn't a part of the US, Hanover isn't a part of the UK, East Germany isn't apart of the USSR, its was an occupation. Remember! An occupation isn't de-jure a part of a nation. yet. That's why there needs to be formalities such as referendums to make it look official. (example: the 2014 Crimean referendum and the later Kherson referendum). Mind you this isn't about Resentism or Revanchism, but a matter of formalities. And until this formality is made, (via treaty, agreement, legislative, referendum, etc.), there is no need to change the map.
well unless a lot of people or other nations recognize it that is... Kaliper1 (留言) 10:46, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[回复]
