Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova[编辑]

Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova should be colored light green (Government grants, and advertising). If someone can do that please, I don't have an SVG photo editor program to do that. Thank you.A.h. king (留言) 20:51, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[回复]

France status[编辑]

As soon as I get an update for my SVG editor, I will update France in yellow. There is a tax that is not a television license to pay France televisions, and there are advertisings on the TV channels. The only exception being ads in « Prime Time », after 20:00. Do not hesitate to tell me if you disagree with that change. Tpe.g5.stan (留言) 10:22, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[回复]

Liechtenstein: Orange is wrong![编辑]

Orange is only commercial income for Stations. But for Liechtenstein its not true. It must be green or yellow! Please read de:Rundfunkabgabe#Liechtenstein, there are enough sources indicated: There is a legal license fee but it is not charged (not be cashed.). The only private television and the only public radio station (and even print medias) receive money from the government ("Landesbeitrag" ist the name of this governmental budget, it means Contribution from the country) and for this they are obliged by contract to a de:Service public (Schweiz) (service delivery is equal to the model of Switzerland, but different funding). In addition, there is advertising and other comercial income for all media. Correct is so: Commercial AND grant. AND there are television license by law (currently no one has to pay.)

There are also other channels in the communities (mainly text panels based instead of videos) that are funded directly by the community and the government. (But I do not know if they are regular broadcasting channels or "only" named as a telemedia service.)

But I surely know, that orange color is definitly the wrong choice for Liechtenstein in this Map! Correct is perhaps bright green (or yellow, perhaps). By the way: For the visibility in a normal layout i would prefer Liechtenstein as a bigger bullet instead of the small area between its Borders, also Monaco and San Marino, Monaco... cold be bigger bullets. --H7 (留言) 11:17, 28 January 2018 (UTC)[回复]

Germany and Poland[编辑]

As far as I know, the only German channel that receives government funding (grants) is de:Deutsche Welle. But that's foreign broadcasting! This is similar to de:Belsat TV or de:TVP Polonia, both of which are funded by governmental taxes. And all three programs are not for residents, but foreign programs. I guess (I'm not sure), that both countries would have to be colored in the same color: Either blue or yellow. --H7 (留言) 11:50, 28 January 2018 (UTC)[回复]

Norway, Sweden and Denmark[编辑]

What I read that Norway, Sweden ja Denmark have all abolish television license and should change colour in the map. https://www.nordicom.gu.se/en/latest/news/nordics-replace-licence-fee-public-service-tax — 以上未签名的留言是由该用户加入的: Pisces (留言 • 贡献) 00:29, 3 January 2020 (UTC)[回复]

Portugal[编辑]

Hi! Please update the map about the funding of European public broadcasters, because is incorrect about Portugal. Since 2014, the government has not directly funded RTP. It is funded by the broadcasting contribution tax and advertising revenue. (https://www.publico.pt/2019/02/19/politica/noticia/pcp-vai-propor-rtp-volte-receber-indemnizacao-anual-estado-1862561) {RTP began to be funded only by advertising and the broadcasting contribution tax in 2014. [in Portuguese] Thank you! 2001:8A0:F968:3601:2C06:3098:394:4DC8 18:03, 21 February 2022 (UTC)[回复]

Various issues[编辑]

@Alkamid, Tpe.g5.stan, Pta345MK, and Reinis-ba:

  1. The microstates are very hard to see. They could do with circles, big enough to be seen in the article view.
  2. Even when zoomed in, I can't see Vatican City or Malta at all.
  3. Why are some of the borders between countries thinner than others? It looks arbitrary. — 以上未签名的留言是由该用户加入的: Smjg (留言 • 贡献) 15:37, 6 May 2022 (UTC)[回复]
