The British EEZ extends way further west in this map than in any other I've seen. For example here, here and here. In reality the EEZs of Iceland and the UK don't touch each other. This seems based on the use of Rockall as a delineation point but I was not aware that the British government wants to use it as such a point. In any case, their neighbors would never agree. --Bjarki S 00:53, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[返信]

I'd be suprised if they didn't, as an EEZ only they can fish there. Perfect sense to make use of territory like Rockall. Why do you think the gov't keep holds of all those islands in the south pacific. For sunbathing? - well yes would be better than Blackpool but also fish and oil. Plus, where do you think the Cod Wars happened?
On another note however, Montenegro needs to be marked, it is shown as part of Serbia still. Thanks for the map though. - J Logant: 17:13, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[返信]
They simply can't. Article 121 of the UNCLOS states: "Rocks which cannot sustain human habitation or economic life of their own shall have no exclusive economic zone or continental shelf." UNCLOS was ratified by Britain in 1997 and therefore they dropped all claims to an EEZ based on Rockall, if they had such claims to begin with. Don't just take my word for this. The Fishery Limits Order 1997 should be clear enough.
PS: The Cod Wars happened inside Iceland's current EEZ. --Bjarki S 19:05, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[返信]

Map shows that Nordhern Cyprus and some parts of eagean area in the EEZ but Turkey and Greece has no agreement about it. efeborn

This map is incorrect and should not be used at all. As noted above, it includes the disputed Hatton-Rockall area [1], claimed by the UK, Ireland, Iceland and Denmark on behalf of the Faroe Islands. Worse still, this map includes the EEZ of the Faroe Islands, which are not a part of the EU. Williamthird (talk) 00:20, 24 May 2013 (UTC)[返信]

EU signed in 1991 a Free Trade Agreement with Faroe Islands. Also, where is Croatia? Super Dromaeosaurus (トーク) 15:14, 25 November 2017 (UTC)[返信]

Croatia[編集]

Croatia is not depicted as an EU member on this map. Please update it. --Numberguy6 (トーク) 20:49, 29 July 2018 (UTC)[返信]
