The Colours are incorrect

I doubt I will be able to find an official document noting the flag's colours but as I had pointed out previously in the discussion on the deletion request for the other file which I had uploaded to replace this file, the colours used here are incorrect. One can find the actual colours from the image found on CARICOM's official website: http://www.caricom.org/jsp/community/caricom_standard.jsp?menu=community . One can also see the same colours on an actual version of the flag being flow outside such institutions as the Caribbean Court of Justice (see the image here: http://noelmaurer.typepad.com/aab/2007/09/a-flag-on-the-i.html and the picture itself here: http://hdtd.typepad.com/hdtd/images/2007/09/18/caricom_flag.jpg). One can also find pictures of the actual flag elsewhere on the official website: http://www.caricom.org/jsp/photo_gallery/chairman_visits/gonsalves_2007/photo_gallery_gonsalves.jsp , http://www.caricom.org/jsp/photo_gallery/chairman_visits/gonsalves_2007/P3290036.jpg and in pictures of the CARICOM Secretariat: http://jamaica-gleaner.com/gleaner/20120304/business/images/HQComplex-Front300dpi.jpg, http://www.criti.info/sharing_the_vision/images/hqcomplexnew.jpg (this picture is found on the website of CRITI which is a CARICOM institution: http://www.criti.info/sharing_the_vision/General%20CARICOM%20Info/secretariat.htm ). So the colours seen currently in this file are not correct. If the colours on this file could be corrected to bring it in line with the actual flag being used by CARICOM itself and then the other file (File:Flag of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).svg) could be turned into a redirect.Caryb (talk) 01:13, 5 October 2012 (UTC)

- Thanks a million! Hmm...the light blue you have seems to a be a little bit lighter than the light blue used in the image but it is a lot closer than the previous shade of light blue and I think it also seems to match the light blue found in some pictures of the actual flag (e.g. the one in the photo gallery showing gonsalves visit to the secretariat).Caryb (talk) 08:01, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
- It was done through simply eyeing the colours and slowly shifting my cursor along the colour gradient. If you find a publication which details the official colours, it can be easily changed to match that. Chipmunkdavis (talk) 17:33, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
- Okay. Hmm....tried redirecting the other file. Don't think I did it properly. Wouldn't I just edit the page to have it read: "#REDIRECT File:Flag of CARICOM.svg ? Caryb (talk) 23:06, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
